B B (Bognor Regis)

I saw more than one GP at my surgery and all they did was put me on different birth control pills each time, but I continued to have a non-stop period for over a year. Then I was prescribed antidepressants, which I didn’t want, and the next thing they suggested was that I have a hysterectomy, so my mum brought me to you. I was only 17! You gave me herbal medicine, and showed me how to eat better, and literally within a week my year long period stopped and from then I began to feel more normal again. You explained how the anaemia from the constant bleeding was probably the cause of the depression, and, sure enough, it lifted. Why didn’t all those doctors think of that? They even sent me to a counsellor, who was no help at all and a waste of NHS money. My cycle has been perfect since then, and I no longer eat junk stuff and don’t even need the herbal medicine any more. Imagine if I had not found you – I could have had a hysterectomy if I had just relied on my doctors! I am so grateful to you Mrs Hamilton.
