Seafood is a diverse and delicious food group with many health benefits, yet its role in the modern diet is clouded by fears about mercury and concerns about sustainability. In this talk we will look at all of these issues and explore the fascinating role that marine and freshwater foods have played in traditional diets, human evolution and brain development.
